Because your decision deserves special standards
At GENTIVES, we offer prospective parents access to a carefully selected group of openly known sperm donors who stand out for their exceptional health, genetic, and personal characteristics.
Our donors are not anonymous. They are willing to show themselves to prospective parents as human beings—with a face, a story, and integrity. This creates trust, clarity, and a solid foundation for your future child.
DISCREET. PERSONAL. SUITABLE.
Our matching process is individually tailored to the needs of prospective parents. You receive exclusive access to a small, carefully vetted selection of donor profiles, including information on their background, education, personality, and physical characteristics.
If desired, we enable prospective parents to meet their chosen donor in person. This turns a decision into a connection – with the potential for trust, gratitude, and clarity for your future child.

A new chapter in family history
In many cultures, family is more than a personal desire – it is part of identity, responsibility, and the passing on of values.
Our donors give prospective parents the opportunity to continue this tradition – carefully selected, respectfully mediated, and with an eye to the future of their family.
TRUST THROUGH QUALITY AND PROXIMITY.
We only refer a limited number of donors who have been screened to the highest medical, genetic, and personal standards.
We take the time to accompany you—sensitively, discreetly, and with a genuine understanding of the wishes of future parents.

We know how it feels
Our work is shaped by personal experience. As founders of GENTIVES, we ourselves have experienced the path to medically assisted family formation in the US – with the help of egg donation and surrogacy.
This experience has not only shaped us, but also led to our current mission: to give prospective parents access to a dignified, high-quality, and transparent path to starting their own family.
Together with our long-standing partners in the US and our active work for legal changes in Europe, we contribute our knowledge, our network, and our heart to your family.
Your personal contact:
Jens Landwehr, CEO
“My own family history and the options for having children that did not come about in the traditional way have shown me how infinitely important the role of third parties can be in this process.”

“Open sperm donors not only give families new life, but also give children the chance to know their origins – and to start life loved.”
With the help of GENTIVES, future parents get to know exclusive donors. We build trust through quality, humanity, and experience. Learn more now.

Selection criteria for sperm donors
Why the donor's personality also plays an important role at GENTIVES
Choosing a suitable donor is a significant step—and at the same time a very personal decision. To help you feel confident and well-informed about your choice, we have compiled an overview of relevant selection criteria relating to the donor's personality and attitudes. This should help you to better assess criteria such as the donor's personality traits, values, and background, in addition to their medical and genetic suitability – and to find the person who fits your expectations and your family history.
Our aim is to introduce you to a donor who, based on their personality traits, meets with your approval, provided they are medically suitable. Once you have found one or more candidates who may be suitable for you, we recommend that you review your choice based on the following criteria:
Does the donor understand what a donation means, including in the long term (e.g., in the event of possible contact requests from the child)?
Does he appear thoughtful, balanced, and without impulsive or unstable behavior patterns?
Is his motivation understandable (e.g., wanting to help, rather than purely financial reasons)?
Do they provide convincing and comprehensible information about their lifestyle, health, and family history?
Are they willing to support respectful contact at a later date?
Does their profile or interview feel consistent and authentic?
Does their appearance suit you or your family (e.g., height, eye color, hair color)?
Are there any overlaps that could help the child identify with them later on?
Does their life story seem stable, authentic, and understandable?
Do their characteristics come across as warm, reliable, empathetic?
Do their values match your expectations (e.g., open-mindedness, interpersonal skills)?
Will a child later be able to say, “I can identify with this choice”?
Your path to your own family
For many prospective parents, the journey to this point has been marked by hope, patience, and sometimes disappointment. This makes the decision to opt for sperm donation—and thus a new path to your own family – all the more significant.
